CEHA INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE:
The committee is CEHA’s liaison to the International Federation of Environmental Health. It also administers the annual international exchange of delegates with the North West Region, England, a chapter of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. The delegate exchange has been a marvelous opportunity for CEHA members to visit with and “shadow” our colleagues in the North West Region. The delegates to CEHA from the North West have been very cordially received as well.
The International Committee oversees the application process for the Eric Foskett International Development Fund. This fund provides important hardware to developing programs in developing countries that otherwise would not have funding. The most recent example is providing funds for a new well for handwashing facilities for two schools in Zambia. The CEHA International Committee shepherds the applications through the process.
Occasionally, the CEHA AES Committee will request the International Committee to participate in an exhibit during the AES.
CEHA HISTORICAL COMMITTEE:
The Historical Committee is charged with the collection, maintenance, preservation and storage of all historical material as it relates to CEHA and the environmental health profession.
The Historical Committee has developed an exhibit that has been used at many AES’s. The response from the CEHA AES attendees has been very positive.
